Sunday blogging and relaxing

I always wait for Sunday with such enthusiasm. It’s the only day of the week I do not work… And I always have grant plans, which I almost NEVER manage to fulfil.. Today I managed to do most of the things I had planed and the evening is still young.

The fact that it has been raining almost all day helped a lot.

Belated (AGAIN!!) Christmas post

This year I had a great Christmas holiday, despite the hard times we are living in! I relaxed, I sal loved ones and met new people.     Extravaganza desert   A lot of photos were taken that night   and gifts were exchanged   children ate way too much sugar   and startred making faces   and then ofcourse there is the sugar come-down..   love was all around (cheesy I know…)   All in all it was a great night!

Elections night

Last Sunday was elections night in here in Greece. Quite important elections.. Early holidays

We went to Rhodes for a five day trip after almost 4 years without any holidays. It was very strange. Rhodes is a very beautiful island with unique sceneries, but the places we visited and stayed were quite horrible. They have turned this amazing island into a fast-food holiday place… Food everywhere was horrible, service even worst and everything seemed like a big mall. Folklore shops, super kitsch      restaurants and bars. In the city of Rhodes, the oldest medieval town still inhabited, everything was like a theme park for tourists. Nothing reminded me that I was on a Greek island… This has never happened to me before on any of my trips to Greek islands. So here are the few digital pictures I took.. Analogues to follow in a couple of weeks.. (Have to find the time to send them for developing and then scanning… I’m tired only by the thought of it 😉 )   fortunately we had the car cause there were 2 hour distances… Bloody sunset (no manipulation whatsoever of this picture) Lindos A 16nth century house now operating as a cafe Delicious mint flavour ice cream!!! March to April Sprocket

This must be the BEST developed film I have ever seen in Greece! I actually do not believe this…Colors amazing and everything sharp! Lomo cameras can actually shoot pretty descent.

Saw this in a blog and though to give it a try! Came out interesting, maybe I should have pointed a little bit higher for the second exposure..

Finally scanned a film. And another one is on the way!! I can’t wait, it has been such a long time since I had analog photos developed! This one was shot with bulb at night (that is why it looks out of focus). I really like the colors and especially the sky. This one is a balcony I pass by every day on my way to work. Though destroyed the color is amazing!! Oresti’s birthday. I really cannot understand how other people with lomo cameras get the night shots with flash so perfect.. Probably has to do with how they develop them.. Mine always look like an accident…. Now this was a very pleasing result. Love how natural they both look. And yes they are laughing at me….

A Christmas post!

  Here are some Christmas snapshots. They do not pretend to be good photos they are just snapshots from the past week and Christmas day! Enjoy : ) This year we decided to hand make our decorations. Well some mistakes were made, as you can see in the photo below I hanged the ornament the wrong way…   Best breakfast ever!! Not only the taste was divine but the colors were very Christmassy…   It was my little brother’s birthday and I made him a loooottt of cupcakes: of course there weren’t only cupcakes… And the Christmas Eve dinner He really enjoys seating there, so they specially placed a basket with a blanket next to the potatoes and onions Christmas morning was beautiful!!! Cold as hell but very sunny and the sea was calm..        

Summer films finally scanned..

I know it’s been quite a long time since my last post but with work and all it’s been a crazy period.. Imagine I just got the time to scan my summer films (almost 3 months after the end of summer.. Lil brotha scating   Little Nastia borred at a grown up dinner party : ) Saint Isidor, a church on a rock in the sea. One of the best places for a walk. My dearest friend Marilena and her Matteo in a double exposured shot!   At the airport waiting for the bus   At the beach enjoying the sun or the shade At the playground Neatly posed plants   Wild flowers and a goat escaping Lilly eating yumi treats and with a different camera   And I saved the best (for me at least) for the end. One of the most beautiful, cute, sweet weddings I have ever been to!! : )
